Color Theme

Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability.
It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.

PICQS initially thought of hiring a professional Graphic Designer to design the PAQS 2021 logo but due to budget constraints, opted to launch a logo design competition among its Members with a prudent prize money.
From the 1st and 2nd winning design logos, two of the PAQS Congress 2021 Sub-themes were highlighted and these are Sustainability and Digitalization.

However, there was another sub-theme missing, which was Resiliency. The Chair and Founder introduced the concept of “Bayanihan” which is a Filipino culture of demonstrating the spirit of communal unity, work, and cooperation to achieve a common goal.

A part-time Visual Designer, a kin of a PICQS officer, created the above logo inspired by the winning logos. Colors and square grid prints on buildings and circumscribed around the abstract image of a nipa hut “Kubo” carried by a group of people symbolizing the “Bayanihan” spirit, which shows Filipinos’ concept of helping one another most especially in times of need without expecting anything in return.

And finally, the PAQS 2021 Organizing Committee Chair suggested to change the buildings around the ring into iconic buildings of the PAQS Member countries.
